2002 Yukon vs. Rotary Necessity

Oh man, what a day. Owner dropped it off last night and I set to work washing it and doing the matts. I didn't expect the paint to be quite this bad. I had to go to a wool pad and rotary to get the swirls down to something PC managable.



Process:



XP Compound via rotary and wool pad

SSR2.5 via PC cutting pad x2

SSR 2 via PC polishing pad

Topped with Awsome Gloss



Tires took 3 coats of Super Dress It before they even started to turn black.



Interior wasn't that bad, but still took more work than usual. Oxyclean on the carpets and seats. Wiped down the plastics with degreaser, and topped it with PB Natural Shine.



Cleaned the windows, did the chrome with Blue Magic, and cleaned the rims with AIO.

looks great...even tho u cant really see the swirls in the pics, they are somewhat there and look terrible...i cant imagine what they looked like in person
 
Nice work, Steve. GM paint is getting towards Audi hardnes these days. :eek:



The paint has a really nice glow in the after shots. :)
