have an '02 red jetta coming to me tommorrow,

did Volkswagen have the ultra-hard scratch resistant clear back then...like the audi's etc now ??

jus wonderin what kinda job its gonna be?

i did my neighbors car it is a jetta VR6 with CG Compound 2 and pro polish and the result was amazing and guess what he took his car after a week to hand car wash :wall the deep scratches did not come back at least but you can see swirls all aver the car again 4 hour down in the drain :bawling: and the car is black

I've never done a VW with soft paint.

Same here... I just did a 3-step with M95, SIP and 106ff on a 2003 GLI and paint was pretty hard... now it's 99.9% perfect with some indentations of very deep scratches remaining... one weird thing I noticed on VW paints in general is that they're harder than normal to correct (not Audi hard, but pretty hard) yet it's very easy to marr and/or swirl the paint... again, not as easy as on a Porsche soft paint, but fairly easy compared to how hard it actually is to correct... anyone else notice this?

thanks all (volkswagen = pretty hard CC)

The car is trashed (the owner had already went out and got re-paint quotes),,,so i guess i'll break out the #85 and wool.

i should actually do a "C & B" as i haven't done one in a while.

now, :think2, with red paint - megs #21 or #26??? hmmmm, thats the question !! (maybe deserves a new thread !!)
