Was up at my brothers in Ohio for almost a week. So decided to bring some detailing tools and supplies with me to clean up the paint on his rides.

I brought a PC, some green CCS pads and zaino products with me. I also have some QEW that I left up there for him to use in the winter.

I had detailed both of these about 14 months ago here

First up was the 04ish dodge 1500 4 door. It has about 90k miles and takes a beating. I asked my brother when was the last time it was washed and he just gave me the "deer in the headlights" look.

Sorry no before pics. :wall

Took about 2.5 hours to do a Z7 wash, scrub down the wheels, tires/wells w/ some APC and to clay w/ Z6 (50/50 water) and Zaino clay. The clay only picked up a little on the horz panels, but the vert panels especially the doors where nasty.

This is from one of the upper door panels, taken with my phone:

After claying I sprayed some Z6 (50/50 water) and dried the surface.

I then polished the paint with ZPC via PC6/green CCS pad.

Applied 3x of ZFX'd Z5pro and finished with Z8.

I did not have any Z-16 with me.

There where still a small amount of swirls/scratches left, but for this beater it will do.

Took all of the final pics the next day after I got done with the X5 and it was raining by then.

Next up is the 01 X5 4.4 sport. It has 115k miles and his wife just returned from a family visit to NJ with the 2/4 yr old boys the night before.

I wish i would of got some before pics on the interior. Enough cereal spilled in the backseat to fill more then a few boxes. :grrr

Looks like she had the exterior washed while on the family visit. I gave the exterior a QEW wash and was able to get all of the bugs off.

I clayed with Z6 (50/50 water) and dried. The rear required the most claying and the sides had a little bonded brake dust.

I then polished the paint with ZPC via PC6/green CCS pad.

Applied 3x of ZFX'd Z2pro and finished with Z8.

I did not clean the tires as it appeared they had slung off most of the tire shine from where ever she had it cleaned at. Wheels where cleaned with QEW.

Interior:

We talked the 4 yr old into starting on vac'ing up the 3 boxes of cereal from the rear seating area. My brother finished up with the vac, while I started scrubbing out the seams in the leather seats with a toothbrush and Z9. I also did the lower sections of all the seats and did the uppers with a MF and Z9. Doors and dash where also wiped down with Z9. I followed with Z10 on the seats and my brother did 1Z CP on the doors and dash.

Not bad for 115k miles and hauling around a 2 and 4 yr old.

Looks great Bryan! Ya know, when you go on vacation....the idea is to GET AWAY from work. :D Seems like I always get conned into doing something while on vacation as well

Fantastic work on both vehicles!

One thing that drives me up the walls though is when women apply their foundaction, and then touch everything in the car. You can see in the X5 how the steering wheel is pretty much white, and near the light switch also. I found that hot hot hot water will take care of it though, since it's water based.

Thanks Wade! The day I did the truck it was like 70-75 and just really nice out. It really clears my mind when I can detail in such nice conditions.
