2001 BMW M Coupe Estroil Blue

I helped touched up some chips, but I couldn't get the sand marks out the first time. Never even thought of trying HTHC on them, but the 2nd time I came around, it worked like a charm (when I started playing around with the polishes). Somehow HTHC did better than HTEC on this car. The paint was hard, and I couldn't even use a Yellow Pad with Rotary because I was getting massive buffer hop. Eventually PC took it out.

Process:

Wash with ONR

Clay with Grey Ebay Clay w/ ONR Clay Lube

Washed again with ONR

Taped car with 3m Blue Painter Tape (works like a charm)

HTHC w/ 6.5" Orange Pad, Speed 6, 2x on sanding marks deeper scratches

HT-69 Paint Perfection w/ 6.5" LC white pad, Speed 6

Waxed with Meguiars #26 Yellow Wax

Tires & Wheel Wells got Meguiars Hot-Shine

Trims got 303 Aerospace Protectant

Stoners Invisible Glass on Windshields

Looks good! One side note, IME with HTHC in leaves some killer oils or something behind. I polished out some heaving scratches from where a side mirror broke off, polished with HTHC and did a 50/50 ISO wipedown. Looked perfect, washed the car and 25% of the marring came back. Now, I always do a wipedown and wash after using HTHC, just a suggestion.

GReat work!

lol yeah, its one of my favorites.

NSX~ I'll keep that in mind next time, I was trying to figure out why it worked better than the HTHC. Hopefully it doesn't come back.
