2000 VW New Beetle

Last weekend I did this Beetle. The owner was looking to take it to Carmax to get rid of it so I did a 1 step exterior and quick interior. I think it cleaned up well considering the car had not been cleaned in a long time. The color is red with a hint a orange so it looks weird in some pictures.

Process:

Exterior:

QEW via Eurow Sheep skin and two buckets

Spot clayed with clay magic blue (it was not that bad except the lower panels)

EC/OP via Orange LC pad @ 1400-2200

Collonite 845IW by hand

Tires/Fenders dressed with Long Haul tire sealant

Interior:

Vac, vac, vac

Vroom $0.98 APC on vinyl (works fine, especially for the price!)

Stoners IG on glass

How hard is the clear on this car? My friend is getting rid of his as well and wants me to polish it up.

Like a freakin' rock. :wall

Very nice work, especially for a single polishing step on that PITA paint. Really nice wet glow in the after shots! :)

The clear is very hard like Scott said. You can go a little more agressive than with softer clear especially if you are just going to 1-step it.

Scott, thanks for the compliments.
