2000 Ford Lightning detail

1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hello all!!

Ya just gotta love these trucks!! Where else can you buy a vehicle that can tow 5K-7K pounds and still run mid 13's in the quarter mile bone stock??:xyxthumbs This particular "L" belongs to a great client of mine. It's a 2000 with about 43K on the odometer and unlike the '01 that I detailed last month this sucker is anything but stock. I'm not sure how much boost he is running but with a pair of slicks out back it's enough to propel this 4,600 pound behemoth down the 1320 in the LOW 12 second range!!:bow The detail was a simple wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo and wax with Meg's NXT. I had polished this truck out in April using Meg's #83 and the owner did an exceptional job of keeping the swirls and scratches out since then. The truck is not a daily driver and is garaged so that helped as well. Below are a few pics of the detail.

Enjoy,

Mike

awesome job! pic #5 looks dripping wet! :xyxthumbs

and nice truck you got too! i bet you could do the 1/4-mile in 13-seconds even with your trailer hooked up! :D

Wow Mike...

What a beautiful truck. Nice work on the detail. Its amazing to see what NXT can do on red. I am a red F150 owner and I love the Lightnings....:up :up :up

Again...nice work...:bow

Looks good but im not a good fan of the Red ford emblem :down

my buddy owns a ford f150 and there's a way you can get that ford emblem to resemble brushed aluminum, but i dont know how he did it:nixweiss

THANK YOU all for the very kind words!!

Jay I am pretty sure you can buy brushed aluminum emblems for these trucks from places like UPR.

I agree with you 100% Pats300zx. I have to say that of all the color paints I've used NXT on that red is turning out to be my favorite color for that product.
