2000 Acura Integra Type R (heavily oxidized hood) *56k Warning*

Well today I got off my butt to help a friend with his car. He has a 2000 Acura Integra Type R that he doesn't take care of and it hasn't been waxed in three years. His hood is HEAVILY oxidized. There was no shine left on the hood and it almost seemed as if the hood is dead. The surface was very rough. Take a look for yourself:

Here is what I did to that hood:

Meguiar's Gold Class car wash

Meguiar's #83 DACP

Sonus Polishing pad on speed (6)

I only got to do half of the hood because my pads failed. My cutting pad (which I think would have helped speed the process) and polishing pad are being replaced under warranty.

I did not apply wax until afterwards and I must say, it is now slick. Too bad I didn't take any pictures. :(

Nice work!

I don't care if hes a racer, you should still take care of your car...especially an R.

he's anything but a racer :rofl

He works a lot and by the time he is done working, he is too tired to detail. Which is why from now on, he's going to bring it to me to do the work :p

His fenders faded already

judging by the paint in the wheel well someone didn't do a very good job on a repaint. such a shame to see an R like that.

that's faded paint my friend  :nervous: :wall

then again, he doesn't care much about his care which is ashame. There are a few dents, his interior is a mess (not for long :D) and his second gear is gone (doesn't go in, and it is loose i think). I'm doing his car from now on. Someone needs to care for it :D
