2 sided MF question

I know I saw an explanation here about this, but searching anything MF will yield quite a few results!! Anyway, what tasks do you use the more plush side or less plush side of MF's for? I would think you would always want the more plush side on the car.

I think pepople use the plush side for buffing off wax or polish and the not as plush side for glass cleaing or to remove polish or wax that is hard to buff off.
