So I did my first polish with a PC tonight on my friends CRX (Yes a girl owns it lol).

Process:

Wash w/ Mothers California Gold wash + MF mitt

Dry w/ waffle weave MF

Claybar whole car w/ Mothers California Gold Claybar + instant detailer

1st pass w/ Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish on LC White pad w/ PC7336

2nd pass w/ Klasse AIO on LC Black pad

Layer of Klasse SG applied w/ MF applicator

KSG also applied to rims

Stoners Invisible Glass Cleaner applied to all windows + polished w/ newspaper

Black Magic foam tire dressing applied to wheels and allowed to dry

All I did for the interior tonight was vacuum it thoroughly, use Stoners IG cleaner on the windows, and dress the plastics. I'll do it more in depth another day. I'll also get shots tomorrow morning and post those as well!

Yep, 02 Boxster S.

Here are the shots, too bad it was wet out, but at least you can see that water bead oh so nicely :)

Not that bad of a color if a girl drives it, although the rims do take it a little over the top ;)..

Regarding DC Step II, from what I've read, it's really more of a glaze than a polish.. someone else might wanna chime in here, but it might be a skippable step in the future since AIO will strip the fillers.

More of a glaze than polish eh? Hmm anyone else wanna speak up and let me know if I can skip it too?

One more shot during the day when it was dry heh :)

Anyone know if Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish step 2 is more glaze'ish than polish?

Mike Phillips of the Meguiars forum stated -

"The Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is a chemical cleaner only and ineffective at removing swirls by machine."

Therefore it really does not have any polishing capabilities rather it uses fillers to hide small marks.

The DCP2 step you used was really not needed as the Klasse AIO is a good chemical cleaner. Although the fillers DCP2 contains could have helped fill in some small blemishes.

No big thing... it looks like it came out looking good. Just cleaning the wheels up added some "flair" :xyxthumbs

But isn't he talking about the step one paint cleaner there, and not the step two polish that i used?

Sorry and yes you are correct. For some reason I went off talking about the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner and NOT the Deep Crystal Polish step 2 as you were referring to.

The DC Polish step 2 is a pure polish. It will hide defects with it's filling ability therefore I can see how it acts more as a "glaze".

Sorry for the confusion.
