This truck belongs to my father. It was purchased a couple of months ago and came to us in terrible condition; the finish was swirled, marred, and dull (aren’t they all to begin with); it was the ideal guinea pig for my (then new) Porter Cable. I'm 17 and sure that I'm not the youngest on this forum, but like most of us, I learned by example. All of you veterans have been a great inspiration. :hifive:

Unfortunately, I don’t have many before pictures. The truck was detailed 4.5 weeks ago and is used as a daily driver.

This was also my first experience with World’s Best Wax. I was doing some research on carnauba waxes and came across it one day. I was lucky enough to snatch a can off eBay for $50, and I’m very happy with my purchase and the results; water still beads great (as pictured), and the paint looks as beautiful as ever.

Thanks again for looking! :)

Nice... I wish I would've got into this stuff at that age.. The closest thing I had gotten to decent paint was a claybar and zaino at that time. Machine polishing never crossed my mind.

Looks great, and keep up the good work.

Thank you, and that's my* dirty E39 528i.

*It's shared between my parents and I. I can use it when available. Unfortunately, I never received a car of my own like I was promised two years ago, but I'll just hang in there.

Damn, I never came close to that when I was 17. That looks awesome. good job.

How was the application and removal of your LSP?

Nice slushbox or 5 speed?

I have a `97 528i 5 speed, great fun car. You can see it in my avatar.

I did a lot of lurking and learning before I gave the detail a shot. I tried my hardest to emulate the work of other Autopians who's details I admired.

World's Best Wax is very easy on and off with either the palm of your hand (the way I laid it down on this car), or with a foam applicator. If I come across it again at the same price, I'll grab another can without hesitation.

It’s also a ’97, but with a slushbox and 100k+ miles on the clock (as expected).

Very nice work, great looking ML that is!

And I don't think you're the youngest. I think there is a 4 year old on this forum somewhere.
