1st C&B: 03 25th Anniversary GTI

Car was garaged, but rarely waxed. Had some decent swirling, w/ the passenger side third of the hood being fairly severely swirled. Did a decent correction--got the bad part of the hood to 50-60% corrected and the other 2/3 to around 80%. I could have gotten better, but didn't have the time. (Damn hard VW paint)



As for products:



Wash w/ Meguiar's wash



Simple Green as wheel cleaner



Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Clay



Mother's Pre Wax Cleaner applied by hand for some rough/stuck-on stuff (comes out smooth w/ way less effort than clay)



3M Rubbing Compound (applied w/ Ryobi 6" orbital w/ foam bonnet)



Megs #9 w/ buffer



NXT 2.0



Megs QD



Megs Hot Shine tire gel

Nice work, I love that color, just as an FYI: this car is a 20th anniversary, not the 25th, the 25th was also known as the 337, which has BBS wheels and some other minor differences (as well as being a bit more rare than the 20th AE).. Great Work nonetheless!

But it was only the 25th in Europe. It's just the 337 here which is the dev code for the original GTI.

That's the 20th Anniversary edition.... And we're in the USA:bigups



The 20th Anniversary edition and the 337 are different cars.....

Thanks so much. I'm pretty much a fan of the OTC stuff, although I'll probably try 106FF in the near future.



Sorry about the 20th/25th thing--I'm a Honda guy, not a VW guy. :wall

No worries, I'm a VW guy and I STILL get confused.... GREAT WORK, If it was a 337 (and Silver) it wouldn't be as easy to see what great work you did ! :bounce
