1999 BMW 750il

Detailed this 750il today. Really nice car: V12, leather throughout with some very nice stitching. Today was exterior only but hopefully the customer will return and I can tackle the interior.

This was really tough work. After washing I saw it was covered with severe swirls. I did not get this car completely swirl-free due to time constraints, and let the customer know. But considering the severity of the marring and the time I had I was happy with the work. The customer seemed happy as well.

Process was...

Wash w/BHB and foam gun. DP extreme foam

Sonus green clay

OHC @ 1500 - multiple passes on worst areas

OP @ 1100

Prime

AJT

DP tire gel

Armor All wheel wells.

After two passes of OHC. You can see there's still some marring, and I hated having to move on to other areas while leaving it this way. But I had to address the rest of the car due to time constraints. The final pass of OP improved it a bit as well:

And some full afters - sun was going down, but I tried to get some hood shots best I could:

As you can see, he did an excellent job. "sevenrd" seems to really care about doing it right and I appreciate his work ethic. Indeed, I'm a happy customer!

WOW ... those wheels! I couldn't tell in the first few photos that they were chrome.

Great work on a grand automobile. I used to have a 740i sport (2001) and I still think those E38s are among the classiest looking cars on the planet.

By the way ... the owner loved the work: BimmerBoard post
