Yup, she's 7 years old and never been kissed.....er, detailed.

It's blue, with various swirls and scratches, and some dull spots in the paint (is that oxidation?) Sorry, no pics handy.

I got tons of questions:

I got Sonus Clay - but worried it's not tough enough for this paint....whatcha think? Should I go get some Mothers or Megs or is the Sonus ok?

I got a new 7424 and 6" SFX pads - figure those will work fine.

I got Optimum Polish and FPII - Will start with the FPII but think I'll probably be forced to switch to the Optimum and hoping I don't lack for something stronger.

So, which pads/polish combos should I work with?

After polishing, I'm fine with the protection process..it's just the polishing and prep I need help with.

Thanks

The clay will be fine.

I'm worried about your polishes being strong enough. OP is not very strong and obviously FPII isn't. So start with your heavest cutting pad with the OP and work slowely. Its going to be a long day! Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.....anything OTC that I can pick up?

If you can find the new version of Meguiar's #2, it's an excellent product. You can tell it's the new version if it says that it can be used by "random orbit" in the instructions.
