1998 GTP rims

My cousin has these rims on his GTP (not his car below):

Does anyone know what type of material these are, and if they have a clear coat on them?



I tried a bit of a fine metal polish and it didn't turn black IIRC so I don't think they are uncoated aluminum. I am guessing they are an aluminum that has been cleared from the factory?
 
They are clear coated aluminum. Treat them like you would your car's surface.



If you want to highly polish the aluminum, you would have to strip the clear coat.
