I do a lot of these trucks. Thought I'd post one. I didn't do too good with the before or the after pics. It was pretty scared up though.

Process:

Wash w/ dawn

Clay with Sonus Meduim clay

wash / EO car wash

OC via Rotary and LC polishing pad

Meg's Hi Tech Yellow Wax via PC w Sonus Finishing Pad.

Was going to do Z5, Z2-Pro, but truck owner only wanted wax. I couldn't just wax over clay. Truck had too much correction to be done. I hit it from the trim up with the optimum. Turned out good.

Thanks for looking.

P.S. Yeah, we did change the wheels/tires, and we did remove the crappy nerf bars.

Thanks guys. It was a good turnout on the truck.

gmblack3a: Shop belonged to the truck owner. It was NICE to work with the lift. Rocker panels expecially. :D

another qx4: check the bottom of the original post. At the owners request, we removed the bars (had a lot of rust bubbles, and were flaking). The "new wheels" are 17" and came off a wrecked 3rd generation 3/4 ton dodge. They were covered in dirt and mud (no pics though). I polished them with EO all metal polish and sealed with poor boys wheel sealant. Tires are new Hankook Mud Terrains - 285/70/17 I think.

Yeah, they're hard to beat. Those P7100 Injection Pumps on the 12valve motors are honestly bombproof. 98 was a golden year. You got the updated interior and a few exterior mods (nicer mirrors, etc); Plus you got to keep the 12valve motor.

Zack, come say hello at www.turbodieselregister.com. Best CTD forum on the web. :) How modified is your 12v? Fuel plate? Injectors, turbo, etc?

I'm on all of them! Mine has a #11 plate full forward, 3K GSK, and I converted it to burn WVO:-) I have a ton of FREE power... Definitly cant beat it. Mine is an Intense Blue Sport, quad cab, short bed, 4X4, with the NV4500 tranny and DANA 80 rear. IMO It is the BEST combination on an already outstanding truck:-)
