First C&G in a long time. This is a real nice example of an older car with SUPRA nice curves and clean lines. 3 owners, all the papers, and never beat down. Apparently, in '97 only 28 Supras were built with Black on Black and 6 speed in the Targa. Still modern looking after all of these years. The owner originally had contacted me to polish the wheels and then decided to give the car a once over. I knew I'd have it for 2 days so I gave it a little more on the house. The paint needed to be jeweled yet, but I was out of time and, in the end, I was very happy with the results and so was the owner. :xyxthumbs

Process:

Thanks for looking! :xyxthumbs

I know. I'm with you on that. I guess we'd not have any classics if they didn't?

The owner is also currently rebuilding a 93 RX-7. He's dropping a "new" engine in this week. Another example of a car with classic lines and motor for days.

David David David let me tell you something!!!! IM JEALOUS thats the car you were talking about in our phone conversation. That was a treat to work on there. Nice work man. Those wheels looked great man. paint looks nice and smooth. soon we will have to have tailored auto detailing and Barry Theals Presidential Details LLC tag team one d and b style! anyway nicework man.

Paint looks a TON better! Well done, I have a supra on the agenda, any pointers you learned?

You need to sell the owner on recon the leather seats! I assume they are not top coated leather?

Cheers,

GREG

Got Leather: Thanks!

BufferBarry: Yep that was the car I was waiting on when we talked. Funny thing was I didn't think it looked so bad when I checked it in. But that is probably b/c it was 11:30 at night! Thanks for the kind words. I saw God working on those wheels. No lie...over 1 hour per wheel (not including taking them off). But the result was worth it. The paint was buttery. I really wanted one more step, but maybe next time. I really love Supernatural on Black. I am intrigued by this d and B style detailing merger potential.... I think it could be awesome:xyxthumbs

Scottwax: Thank you Scott. The engine was a little scary to work on with so much jammed in there.

Artixscout/ Greg Nichols: Cool! The car is straight forward enough. My only advice would be that the side rails (bottom 2 inches or so) are like a vinyl decal, so once you get them clean no need to polish them. Also, the interior cockpit area has a matte finish. you won't get any shine out of it. Come to think of it, the whole dash is a little matted as well...not your typical Toyota surfacing. The leather is a rough leather. Not smooth (by design) and also matted. My pictures are way washed out, but they looked great in person. The only problem with them was that the driver side had a water stain.

Denzil: Thank you!:xyxthumbs

Thanks guys! I appreciate the kudos! It was 92 degrees and sunny today, so I know that targa top was off and those wheels were rolling!
