1996 Jaguar XJR Restoration Very Pic Heavy 56k think again!

We had a customer bring in his wife's new to her daily driver. She wanted to get the paint cleaned up a bit and made to look a little nicer. We showed her what could be done and she decided with her husband to have us go forward with a light paint restoration and having the wheels stripped and powder coated a new shade of pearl silver.

After a look around the car it was evident there was some spooky body work and some dubious paint work. None the less, Jason and Brian pressed on with rolling up thier sleeves and taking care of business.

Now I know the norm is use a bunch of fancy dancy slang and abreviations but I'm not as familair with those yet so you get the long hand version:

First we used 1500 grit Mirka sandpaper, then moved to 2000 grit Mirka

From there it was buffed out using Meg's 105, then to Menzerna SIP and 85 RD and then sealed with HD Poxy.

Enjoy!

thanks! and my apologies for the disjointedness of this post. Future posts will be a little more clear and direct. We just wanted to post something to get going!

Yea thats how its done!!!!! Nice work Gentleman. Looks like things are off to a great start over there. Keep on posting.

PolishedImage- Great work! I bet that all the unknowns related to the paint/body work made things tricky.

And good call on just having the wheels refinished.

Nice work.

It would have been nice to click on the thread and actually see the pics in full size rather than having to reduce the advertising banner on the side...but why should this post be different than any one one on here.
