Washed the car w/ Joy dish detergent.

Clay Bar'd it w/ an autopia CB and Meg's Gold Class/ Water in a spray bottle.

Hit the panels w/ a yellow cutting pad(CMA) and SSR 2.5

Followed up w/ Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze on a white pad(CMA)

Finished off w/ Liquid Souveran Wax Red Pad(CMA)

It started to drizzle when I put the souveran on so I did a quick job and don't think it's nearly as good as it could've been.



So what do you think of my first time w/ the PC and a black car, 2 1st's in 1 day. Paint is far from perfect, still some swirls, but for 3 hours worth of work I don't think I did bad.

just curious, was there any particular reason for using dish detergent to wash the car?
 
Beautiful Corrado!!! I got a suggestion to remove those scratches from your sunroof. Go pick up a moonroof out of B4 Passat or mk3 Golf or Jetta. There are several guys in the Corrado forum over at VW Vortex that have done this and it looks great. :xyxthumbs

Kind of a shortcut/ cheap way of removing any previous waxes or polish. Pretty sure the car wasn't waxed in over a year so I didn't think a cleaner polish was needed, and why waste expensive car wash if you know you're going to be cutting scratches anyway.



Yes that is the VR6 model. And I will have my friend look into that Sunroof mod.

Love the car in general.



Excellent work on the paint. I really love how the reflection is uniform over the glass/paint.
 
the corrado replaced the scirroco in the late 80s in europe. we didn't get the C until 1990 in canada (not sure about the US).



It was VW's performance sport coupe. Way ahead of it's time. amazing handling, good power, and a complete sales flop :D .



In 1992-3 the supercharged 4 cylinder G60 was replaced by the narrow 15 degree V6 engine (vr6) until it was discontinued in 1995 :(



I will own one of these. one of the best handling FWD sport coupes ever made.
