1987 Monte Carlo SS. Not sure of all the history of this car (2nd hand from the owner's wife) but apparently the current owner went with his dad to pick it up new. Keychain even has a picture he drew as a kid with "1987" on it. The car has been in storage for a while, now the owner wants to use it as a weekend toy. I was told it had the original paint, but there are definitely tape lines in a few areas that lead me to believe its been at the very least, touched up. Plus the paint looks way too good for 26-year-old GM paint.
Really didn't need much, not even any noticeable swirls in the paint. White letters on the tires needed a little extra:

Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 dwelling:

Scrubbed with a nylon bristle brush then washed with ONR:

ONR wash, Opti-Clay Pink to clay
Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 dilution to clean raised white letters and to remove bugs from the front end
Optimum G-P-S using an Optimum MF cutting pad and my Rupes 21 DA polisher
Armor All to dress tires/wheel wells

The Honda Pilot in the background is scheduled for next week, along with their Acura RDX...and his father's 1965 Corvette. :thumb:

---------------
2013 Chevy Corvette 427 Convertible. We polished it last week and applied Optimum Opti-Coat to the paint and Opti-Glass to the windshield, since then, its been to Austin and back (about a 400 or so mile round trip) and since the owner is going on vacation prior to heading back to Austin (works there 6 weeks at a time but lives in the Dallas area), he wanted it cleaned up and ready to go when he gets back. Obviously it didn't need much other than getting rid of the bugs on the front.
But unlike when we did the Opti-Coat, this time his trees weren't dropping sap thanks to the cloud cover so I was able to get some much better shots this time than last time when I took two pictures with my cellphone while the car was in the garage. Really like the Midnight Race Blue color, changes depending on the light. Had hoped to get a few sun shots but full sun was so brief by the time I was able to focus on the paint, the sunlight was obscured again.
