This is my brother's 1987 Buick Grand National. I used SSR 2.5 with an orange pad and topped it with EX-P. It looks soooooooooooooo good, and it is officially for sale....$23.5K.

WOW! Did you have any cloudiness in the paint after using SSR2.5 on orange and then going straight to sealing it? I usually finish with the SSR1 on a white pad before adding EX-P. But regardless, that looks GOOD!

Agreed, it's possible to finish off to LSP with a polishing pad and SSR2.5 but with an orange pad (i assume light cut) it'd be a little difficult but great work!!! It shows how good products coupled with a good user how good the results can be. My favorite car is an '87 Monte SS ... very similar to your car :D

:shocked Anyone wanna buy a 04 Cobra...Kenne Bell and goodies. Found my next car:chuckle: . Car looks great and +1 to the person who said the 87 MCSS! Love G-bodies and W-bodies!

:goodjob on the paint looks amazing.

Thanks guys. I later found out that my brother put liquid glass on it between me buffing it and topping it with EX-P. I don't know anything about liquid glass, but there is not one swirl on this car....it looks amazing in person!

Nothing looks better than a GN done right. You would be surpised at how many of those cars are still on the road. Some daily drivers, some show and alot on the track at the Nationals.

If you don't get no bites call Brain Weavy at GBodyParts.com Online (he's the owner) Tell him Greg in Rochester NY from the forums thought he might be interested in this car.

He sells nothing but parts and cars for GN's and Turbo Regals.

How did he keep it so well maintained (body) for so long. These puppies like all cars from that era rust like no tommorrow.

*** Edit ******

I've been reading some the reponses to your posting on the forums. One thing to remember is alot of those guys build/re-build thier engines and all from the ground up to get better performance at the tack. So you might get hit with questions about what's under the hood.

Just let them know if it's bone stock or has any performance upgrades when they ask. You can search those forums in the appropritate sections and get an idea of what other cars in that condition (which to me from here looks mint) have sold for in the past.

it's a sweet whip for sure, if I hadn't dumped so much money into restoring mine I'd jump on it.

Nicky, is this car totally stock with all original matching engine numbers? Are there absolutely any problems with the vehicle such as rust, mismatched numbers?

What engine/transmission/rear end modifications have been made?

Do you have interior pictures?

Wow, looking at pics of that car brings back some memories! One of my best friends in high school had a white T-type, and man did we have fun in that car. Some of the best times I can remember!!

If I had the time and money, I'd love to pick one of those up, restore it, mod it, and have a blast. It was a perfect combination of speed and comfort. One of my fav's for sure.

wow great finish. i've got a freind with a gnx and i thought that looked great. your top dog now. :bounce :wow:

There are no problems with the car...and all #s match. There is no rust that I was able to see. The car is stock except for the K&N filter....and my bro has the stock air box I believe.
