This is one of my parent's pride and joys, just under 53,000 km on the odo, but it was repainted about 7 years ago, to what I think is an OEM Midnight Blue Metallic, not 100% sure on that accuracy of that. Sorry about the crummy pics as well.

It mostly sits except for a show or two throughout the year,

which was why it came out this year.

No wash, was under a cover until I started on it.

Clay : Blackfire with ONR

Polish : Switched between OC and Menzerna IP, finished with 106FF, all via PC

Glaze : RMG via PC

Wax : Souveran Paste via hand

Leather : AG Cleaner and AG Conditioner

Metal : Blue Magic metal polish, it could have used some Wenol Red/Blue though.

Wheels : ONR wipedown

Tires : B n B

Rubber trim : 303

Glass : Stoners IG

Interior carpets and plastics were not done due to time constraints. Also the car wasn't finished 100% perfect but I was happy with how it came out.

Most of the car was like this

My guess would be that the springs are sagging from age? I am not too sure.

Yeah, the ride height is all messed up, it's too low in the back and too high in the front. Kinda detracts from the great looking paint!

Get some 20s on that phat ride. :idea :grinno: ;)

Paint looks excellent, great work!

I have seen a fellow with a maroon one with something of that size but I think I would have to confer that with the parents heh.

I would like to see the XJR powertrain in one of the old XJ body styles, maybe with some XJR wheels too. I think that would be neat.

Looks awesome man!

Gotta love that RMG don't ya? Its my favorite glaze for an ultra wet look, I just wish clearkote sold it in gallons!

Yeah, it was my first time using it but I was impressed!

20" wheels on a Series III XJ?!? Perish the thought  Those factory alloys looks just right to me, but I'd lose the whitewalls. As for more power, I'd rather do a period-correct hop up on that straight six :D

99blackSE- Nice job on a great car :xyxthumbs

Heh heh, have them get that rear suspension looked at before it gets sick-expensive ;)

And if/when you do the interior, don't get the carpet/rugs too wet, the wool can do weird things. And that goes double for the headliner ;)
