Original decals required extreme caution, paint turned out way better than expected.

Menz 203 with orange then 106fa with white, Powerlock

6 hours, exterior paint only, spent 1.5 hours just getting the previous guys wax out of the nooks and crannies which this car has plenty of...

i'll get a few more pics up soon, sun wouldnt cooperate but the clouds worked ok.

Classic car for sure, i told the owner to flip the white letters out on the new tires, this vintage car screams for lettered tires.

Thanks

ps. learned to NEVER wipe down decals of this size with IPA, i had to re-buff down the white spots left behind... SCARY

Nice. Those decals would have scared me.

Great car. Earlier versions without the double headlights on either side look more bad a** to me...

Paint looks great! Good job! It's a '77 though. The gothic lettering only came on the '77's. Tell the owner to get those louvers off the back of that thing....:)

I'll have to recheck the production date, thought he said '78? Maybe they were repops of the wrong vintage some time back...?

he actually asked me to remove the louvers but the glass mouldings need to come off, i recommended a body shop. Agreed they do not belong.

thanks

Mose is right about the lettering. One of my best high-school friends owned a '77, and he had the Gothic lettering. Someone else in town had a '78, and the lettering had reverted back to the earlier years.

You could also get a '78 Special Edition T/A in gold, with black striping. I saw one, and it looked interesting. The black is classic, though.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice ride!!! I had a 1978 T/A that was Metallic Gold CC with the custom tan interior. I really liked that car and should have never sold it...such a bad move on my part. I'd really like to have another one, but it seems the 1977-78s are getting hard to find. I never had any mechanical problems with that car. It wasn't so fast (I didn't have the 6.6L/WS6), but ran great all the time!

Sweet ride! Believe it or not I drove one of those (Blue) in drivers education in 1977-1978. There was also a gold one I got to drive as well. Sure beat the Grand Am the other kids were driving. LOL
