Here are some pics of a car I detailed for the Classic Car Expo in Costa Rica

The car is an 1969 Mustang Mach 1, with a 351, it's mostly original with some NOS parts.

It's always garaged, but the owner has very little knowledge on the proper way to care for the paint.

This was my process:

1-Wash with NXT wash (2 bucket)

2-Dry with the WM

3-Blow dry all the crevaces and trim with the Shop-Vac

4-Clay (white clay)

5-Polish with M80 with the G100

6-Seal with NXT tech Wax

7-Polish chrome with NXT All Metal Polish

8-Dress trim with GC Trim Detailer (basically it was only the chin spoliler and the rear spoiler )

9-Quik Interior Detailer for the matte paint

10-Vacuum the Interior.

11-NXT Tech Protect on all interior vinyl surfaces.

12-Cleaned glass with Detailer line glass Cleaner

13-Last Touch detailer on door jambs

14-GC Endurance for the tires.

15-APC to clean the wheelwells.

16-Hyper Dressing to dress them.

and Voila!;)

They're hood locks- pins that protrude up through the hood, secured with a tethered cotter pin. Their purpose is to keep the hood attached at high speed (in case the hood latch fails). On hard core race cars, you'll see pins at all 4 corners & no hinges- just pull the cotter pins & lift the hood off.
