A customer of mine recently picked up this super charged 68 Chevelle. The car was pretty clean when I received it. Moderate swirls and a fair amount to orange peel. The car is more of a driver than a show piece and the owner did not want the expense of wet sanding the entire car. I proposed the idea of using Carpro’s denim orange peel removal pads.
Process was a follows
Rupes 21 with 5.5 backing plate CarPro denim pad with Meguiars M100
Meguiars burgundy pad with Groits fast correction cream.
Lake country HD orange pad with Meguiars M205
Lake county blue pad with Polish Angel Escalte Lotion
Polish Angel Master Sealant topped with Optimum spray wax
50/50 of the job the denim pad with M100 with one pass. Corrected area on the left of course
All in all the denim pads did a good job of removing the texture but the as much as wet sanding.
Thanks
