Final two vehicles detailed for a customer who is selling them at the Dallas Mecum Auction next week. These two bookend the 60's with size and power. The Impala with a 425 hp dual quad 409 and the Superbee with a 390 hp 440 6 pack. And both are worth nearly 6 figures.
Both were in pretty good shape, the Impala could use more polishing, but again, we had two total days to take care of 5 vehicles. We were able to make quite an improvement in both vehicles. Neither is driven very often but both were pretty dusty.
ONR wash, spot clayed with Clay Magic blue clay
Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC 7424 XP on speeds 5-6 on the paint and chrome bumpers
Opti-Seal to protect
Optimum Metal Polish for the final polishing on the bumpers (and chrome air cleaner on the Impala)
Armor All to dress the tires/fenderwells
Engines were in pretty good shape, wipe down with ONR at QD strength (20:1 dilution)
Vinyl cleaned with Woolite/water diluted 20:1
Carpets cleaned with 3D Carpet Shampoo diluted 16:1
Vinyl dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.
The Impala is more red than the pictures show, my new camera has a tough time with red in the sun, still trying to figure out how to adjust it to get it to look right.
