This beautiful car came to us for a concourse preperation for the Kirkland Concours' which is our local version of Pebble Beach. Some of the most expensive, and extravagant cars in the world are here on display. The detail was fairly straight forward. I sanded the paint with Trizact 3000, polished out with SIP and Orange CCS Pad, work in some Micro Polish 85rd with a white pad, and jeweled with Ultrafina and red CCS pad. Topped with 3 coats of Vintage wax. This thing is glowing now and ready for the show. Unfortunately Seattle's weather forecast is predicting rain. AGAIN... :( Thanks for looking.

Sorry for the link, I couldn't get the photos to upload??

JohnKleven- Impressive work per usual, and your decision to start with the damp-sanding speaks to both your experience and confidence.

What was the paint (as best you could tell)?

Did the interior (thinking of the materials used in those cars) require anything special?

Nice work, how many hours would you say that took you to accomplish start to finish?

Great job again.

Josh

Thanks Josh. This one spent a lot of time in my prep bay cleaning the underside, and every nook and cranny. All together, probably 35 hours or so into this one.

Thank you. It was a factory ordered option color, but was painted with clearcoat when restored. Leather was also treated leather, so Einszett Leather care was used, and mostly 1z and sonax interior products used. This was a fairly fresh restoration, so interior was pretty clean to begin with.

JohnKleven- Thanks for the additional info; I'm always curious about how restorations have been done and I *was* kinda expecting it to be b/c paint as great ss is getting so rare these days. The treated leather sorta surprises me, but as long as it doesn't cost him wins, and he's happy with it, well...that's what counts.

Lucky you, getting to work on such cool vehicles! Lucky them, having you to do the work!
