1937 Cord Concourse Winning Detail

This old beast came to us for one reason. To win the biggest and best car show here in the Northwest. This car has had a lot of bad experiences with previous detailers, leaving so much crud and compound in the cracks, combined with heavy swirling, it was a mess. It required a small amount of dismantelling to clean some of the tight nooks and crannies. It also was a fairly difficult car to polish with all the tight areas. This one started off with purple wool, and some Power Gloss, followed by orange CCS and SIP, then Super Finish with white CCS, and finally jeweled for hours using 85rd and red ccs pad. I cleaned paint with Lime Prime Lite, and topped with 6 coats of Dodo Juice Supernatural. This thing looked dripping wet, and it also won 1st. place.

Off the charts John! Other detailers left all that crap? I cannot believe any car lover would allow that.

Cheers,

GREG

Beautiful car john, amazing work as well..

Greg, as far as the northwest goes, about 60% of the detailers here aren't autopia quality... Granted I'm still learning tips and tricks everyday, but I would rather take a couple extra hours to make it turn out right, than ship the car and lose a customer..

Stunning "coffin nose." Nice detail and a beautiful and bad-@** car. Don't these cars have an engine-turned dash also? Any interior shots by chance?

Here is an interior shot, and left side in sun. Car had very shiny leather, trust me Armor All was not used.

Thanks John! What a stunning interior- that's serious craftsmanship. Turned metal dashes always get me going.

Armor All ... lol. Great car right there.
