1928 Rolls Royce Phantom I by Metropolitan Detail

This beautiful Rolls Royce Phantom came to us in need of a show car preperation for the Kirkland Concours d' elegance. There were a lot of difficult nooks and crannies on this car, not to mention the stainless steel hood that needed to be polished, and also all the sterling silver, like the radiator, emblems, bumpers, and much much more. The leather was extremely dried and cracking tremendously, so I used Connolly Hide Food Conditioner to soften the leather, performed a 3 step machine polish, and hand waxed with Vintage wax. Paint measurements were taken along process on every panel to ensure minimal loss of paint. Our 4" mini buff pads were used all over this vehicle to get in all the nooks and crannies. This preperation took two weeks to finish, but the results were astonishing.

Yeah, I thought you were going to come up here with your 105 stuff and show me a trick or two.

Wow, that is quite a car!

I can't even imagine all the little nooks and crannies to pay attention to.

Great work!

Now what is something like that worth, any idea?

JohnKleven- Wow, another great job on another wonderful car!

Heh heh, that Hide Food can work great on certain cracked leathers, huh...this reminds me of somebody's neglected abused Jag XJS :o Yah, it worked well for me too.

Same Q I asked about the Caddy- what kind of paint was on this?

Sterling brightwork instead of nickel huh? Bet that made that aspect of the detail a bit easier in some ways (and less chance of an "oops").

Yes thank you. I really like the Hide Food on untreated leather, as it really makes the leather supple, and works much quicker than leatherique. The paint was all b/c on this one.
