Depends, I find 106 to have a little more cut than 205...but sense I'm almost always using 105 first and have little to no clean up needed, I've been grabbing 205 more often lately.

M205. I also find it had a little more cut than the 106fa...or a least it has the ability to have more cut.

106fa, I find it works very well for me and am happy with the results it yeilds. But to be fair I have never used M205...

I used to use 106FA all the time, but I've recently switched over to the M105/205 combo. I as well get more cut with the M205, although that being said I think the 106FA finishes down a bit better. I use the M205 now because I follow it with PO85rd which leaves an amazing gloss all said and done.

Short answer: 85RD

Long answer with preface: I have limited experience with Ultrafina as I only obtained 4 ounces from a trade. It's almost double the cost of comparable finishing polishes so I wanted to be sure of its capabilities before going all in. With that said, both Ultrafina and 85RD are quality products but I have found 85RD to have touch better finish. I have used 85RD with both rotary and DA (Flex 3401) without any issue. With the limited amount of UF that I had, I only used it with a rotary as recommended by 3M - Don't let this piece steer you away as I am sure other members have used UF with a DA and obtained great results.

Getting back to the original Q (from2010!), I generally prefer to *finish* with Menzerna (or 1Z) as opposed to M205. I just don't seem to get quite the same finish with the M205. User error? Could be, but I'm not gonna struggle to "master" it any better :grinno:
