Hi Guys

Ugh! What has it been this year with the weather? The winter was cold and hard to spend any real time on the car. The summer has been pretty warm, to hot to get any real work done on the car.

A lot of the car detailing forums seem to be deflated, has the bottom dropped out? Credit Crunch? Just that lethargic feeling....? I have been busy working with new pads and a few new products, hopefully got some decent results.

I spent the last couple of weeks trying to get snaps of the car between work etc. but for all the sun stopping me from getting some real work done on the car when it came to getting snaps i could not get any sun at all on the days i had free!

Anyway I spent my time today picking the best of of the overcast shots only to nip out this afternoon with the point and shoot and get some shots!

A lot of people say dont use Lake Country Compressor pads on the DA as you dont have the right backing plates. I got the black Compressor pad in January and used some 106FA with them here and i have to say, the finish is really impressive!

The car seems very liquid with a glassy, icey look with stunning reflections. I have applied one coat of Raceglaze 55 over the car. Zaino Z16 on tyres, Aquapel on the glass, EGP on the wheels. Atleast for now, not a swirl in site!

First attempt to snaps some shots outside on the drive right not longer after the polishing finished:

The finish jewelled up really nice, even in the overcast conditions it looks good.

Stopped off at (Former) USAF Old Buckenham Field (B24 base in WW2), the sun put in a great effort last tuesday after my burn up Norfolk.

One or two nice shots atleast.

Finally today....28 degrees sunny and i have a free moment! I tried to go around the whole car for various angles.

Out in to the full sun where the proof is in the seeing!

The mirror finish and sparkling metalic is a good look, i think the RG55 really lets the metalic come through.

I have only used RG55 in the Winter before and it lasted 5 months. I wonder if it will slide off in the heat or hold its own until the autumn is over.

Thanks for looking.

Geoff
