I took delivery of my new VW the other night and dedicated the past couple days to getting it set up for the coming winter months. I told them not to touch it before they delivered it to me (and it was shipped up from LA) so it was in serious need of a wash when I got it. Bird dookie everywhere, complete with hard water etching already. Yay.
I did the typical wash/clay, followed up by some polishing with OHC/Orange, which by the way barely did anything to this clearcoat. This stuff may even be harder than my '03 VW, which I wasn't sure was possible.
That cleaned it up enough to get rid of 70% of the water etchings with only a few left over that I can deal with until Spring detail. I ended up doing 2 applications of OS, a day apart, and finished up today with a once over with OCW. BTW, love that stuff.
Anyway, I will have full sunlight pictures tomorrow, but here's a small teaser from the garage...
