We recently did our part to avoid the auto industry debacle and bought a new 08 F150, from all research found via the web the leather is these trucks isn't anything special but I wanted to know what everyone though would be a good product (s) to use on the seats?

PLMK, thanks. :bigups

Congrats on your new purchase!

I was going to do the same and was looking at deeply discounted GMC Crew Cab LT's, but decided against it.

Keeping the seats clean from the begining would be the most beneficial.

I use Woolite 1:10 ratio with distilled water in a spray bottle and it works well after reading posts about it. I used it on my '03 Tahoe with leather. I follow with 303 Protectant.

I used Meguiar's APC 1:10 ratio on some leather from a '96 Ford. Then wiped it with clean damp MF to get off any residue. The APC worked well on the older leather, but the car was a beater and didnt mind using a "stronger" cleaner such as the Meg's APC.

I believe Optimum has a leather product with UV protection.

I use Aerospace 303 Protectant and like it a lot. It has a low sheen and clean finish, and has UV protection. I even used it on a 10 year old black Sony Trinitron TV and it looked brand new again! The stuff is great!

OTC product such as Turtle Wax F21 Protectant has UV inhibitors also.

Good Luck!

Is this a King Ranch? If so, then you may have the aniline or unfinished leather. The only thing you can do with that is wipe it down with a damp cloth.

If it is regular finished leather, then use the woolite solution and a Delicate Duty Scotch Brite pad. Keeping the leather clean is more important than any protection.

What about Leatherique products (RO and PC) for a situation like that (uncoated).

I used Meguiar's Detailer Line 1 step leather cleaner/protectorate for regular maintenance on mine(Lariat F150 tan leather), and it kept the leather 100% wrinkle or crack free for 2.5 years.

I used it maybe once every 1.5-2 months.

The Meguiar's name is D180.
