07 Ferrari F-430 Correction(Rosso Corsa)

Got my shipment Friday.

The cleaner is very watery and easy to spray on. It suds just the tiniest bit.

It leaves the leather very matte and very "ready" for conditioning. I haven't done true leather cleaning before, but I could really tell that I "took it down" to it's base.

The conditioner is a spray bottle, but it's thick and sprays in a gloppy stream. So spray into your hand.

The conditioner has a light light Vaseline Intensive Care hand lotion smell. Reminded me of Mom...

It needed a bit of a buff-in, but my garage was only about 50 deg. After I rubbed it in w/a MFT, it looked great. The scent disappaited and I spchritzed w/Griots leather scent.

I like this stuff much better than Lexol.

Does griots leather scent smell pretty close to real leather or does it smell cheap and fruity like all the other new car and regular car scents ive tried.

The Griot's scent used LIGHTLY, like 4 sprays, 1 for each mat leaves a very nice leather-roma.

Maybe I went too light on the EO, but I had no tackiness. Lexol always "grabbed" me w/it's post-application tackiness. Like that first sitdown on the freshly conditioned leather stopped you from sliding...didn't get that w/EO.

I've always been a big fan of the Eagle One leather products. Both work wonderfully for me.

As for the Griot's leather scent spray bottle. I have it and don't like it much. If that's a fine leather scent, then I don't want fine leather. Laters

Completed today(10-8-2010) have done this car in the past, but it had a few more issues than normal with fingernail scratches on the passenger side door and some undetermined spots on the clearfilm.

The owner is using the car for an event this weekend and wanted it to really look nice, so I put the time in and made it look "As new".

At the start with a foam bath, then clay & de-con step.

Obligatory 50/50 pic during the initial stages of polishing.

Does it ever get old detailing Ferraris day in, day out. Never mind, I know the answer

Another knock-out job there Bob. Thanks for posting @ TruthInDetailing :partaaay2:

Bob,

Another great job. Is the exaust can aluminum? SS or other. What do you polish it with (chemical, machine and pad) I have some exhaust tips (Aluminum i think) on an infiniti that I spent some time cleaning, de-tarring (is that a word) and tried to bring up first with never dull, and then #0000 Steel wool. i have some p21s polishing soap on the way. Just wondering what you used?

Awesone job as usual on a great car.

And thanks for any insight you can lend.

Another great Job. Its easy to see why you get all these fabulous cars to do.

A couple of questions if I may ask. The dash has the just right look to my eyes. What did you use on it? 303? And what did you use on the rubber trim to bring back the as new Look?

Thanks.

Bob,
Once again you deliver a beautiful detail. You are really at the TOP of the detailing world. I can see why you get so many great cars to do. The extra time that you put in really paid off.
Thanks for sharing with us.:notworthy:

Thanks for the kind comments(better than"You missed this or that" LOL) did not dress the dash(due to possible glare issues) and I used CG Metalshine on the exhaust(used plenty of Neverdull when I was in the Navy though......).

As for getting tired of the Ferrari's, even though I am "Oldness" (48 on the 24th of this month) I feel that even though I would like to make much more money for my family I really get a sense of accomplishment to bring out the true potential of the cars I do for my clients.

Sometimes the biz can get old with "Cheapo clients" and people who look down on the trade, as one time a guy called me a "Wax jockey" and I replied " I am the highly trained wax jockey" due to the myriad of hackness most people see in our business, so I look past that and know I am fortunate to provide for myself a job in these times.

so I put the time in and made it look "As new"

I respectfully debate this statement. The F430 looks 100% better then new and is really selling the work you have done short (IME with new Ferrari's). If I see a Ferrari with a polished can and flawless paint I will know who did it. Great work!

Nice looking car -- spotless inside and out and so is the shop.

I the last shot there are some halogens(?) against the side wall. These do not look like ordinary halogens.

I see you use a water reclaimation system too.

Bob, I've been seeing a worrying trend between you and other top detailers - you keep raising the bar so we cannot reach it :Swordfight:

You handle yourself so much more elegantly then me. I once knocked a guys front tooth out for calling me a glorified car washer <:-P
