Detailing Rottweiler
Hey all and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your's!!!
It's been a while since I've posted a "spread" but with the birth of my new born son free time is at a premium!! I can honestly say that aside from marrying my wonderful wife that fatherhood is indeed the most moving thing I have ever experienced. I have a new found purpose in life. :heelclick
I hope all my fellow full-time pro's are buffing their way out of the recession. This too like all things shall pass and in the end there will be a glut of new business. Keep the faith my friends.
Alas...I digress!!! To the car!!!
I was privileged to detail this gorgeous and fairly rare B7 a few weeks ago. These cars were imported in very small numbers during '06 and '07. It's basically a factory backed tuner car much like the Ford - Saleen relationship. The B7 starts life as a regular BMW 7 then is sent to Alpina for some serious upgrades. The engine is a supercharged and intercooled 4.4L V8. At 11.6 psi it produces 500hp and 516ft-lbs to the crank and is capable of moving this 4700lbs beast to 12.8 @ 114mph in the 1320. Alpina fits the cars with subtle interior and exterior upgrades as well as stiffer suspension pieces and those gorgeous signature 21 inch Alpina wheels! It is truly a gentleman's hot rod with no blower whine or exhaust rumble to give away its performance. Just awesome!!
The client was new and a referral from a long time customer of mine. He is the original owner and very meticulous with the car. Showing just 11K on the odo it was in very good condition with just some light marring. The owner uses lambs wool mitts and MF on it along with BMW brand products. He requested and provided the BMW "wax" for the final step. I expected it to be nothing more than some re-labeled Gold Class but the bottle stated "Made in Germany" and the product looked, applied and finished very much like Klasse SG. However, that is a guess/assumption as I do not know what BMW uses. Below is a description of process and products used for the detail.
Enjoy,
Mike
