This is my sister's car. I gave it a little clean-up a few months ago, but it was in dire need of a little more. She came over today and we spent a couple of hours cleaning (did a little coaching, too). I can't remember the exact name of the color, but it's a purple-grey color with quite a bit of metallic.

Process:

Simple Green 2:1 wheels/tires/wells

Griots Garage wash

Werkstatt Prime Strong via polishing pad, speed 6

Werkstatt Acrylic Jett

Pinnacle Paste Glaz

FK 425

OCW in jambs

Zaino Z16 on tires and trim

Nice Werk statt. I used it on a silver Tahoe this week and got similiar results....I was impressed and the client was overjoyed...... as your sister must be..

The Mustang looks great Zane, that colour is Tungsten Grey Clearcoat Metallic. Nice choice, did your sister think of getting the Pony package? My brother is glad he did. Did you find the PPG and FK425 made much of a difference over the Acrylic Jett?

Thanks, guys.

Ben - I'm not sure what the Pony package has with it, but I know she's got the 200+ color gauges, Mach stereo, etc. The changes after AJ were minimal - some additional wetness.

Thanks Zane, the Pony package adds some suspension enhancements from the GT, larger 17" Bullit wheels. My brother did the interior upgrade too with the colour changes gauges and the Shaker 500. Nice car, he went for the Windveil Blue exterior which is pretty rare. He just wanted a nice warm look so I just put #26 on it and it looks great.

Looks great! What did you think of Griot's wash? I love the heck out of it. Have you changed your mind on 425 or just trying to use it up?

I've used about half the bottle of Griot's wash so far, and I like it very well. I think 425 is a very nice QD...I just don't get the earth-shattering results that others do.

My sentiments exactly. I have yet to try Griot's in my foam gun, but I like it very well with just a bucket and a mitt. Cleans great, suds great, is gentle on the LSP, and smells good.

that looks hott!!

Some of these guys around here convinced me a while ago to back off the simple green a little in strength and replace it with meguiars all purpose cleaner, something about simple green eating the clear. So I did and it worked just as well.

all that other stuff, yer way over my head, but results speak mountains
