06 Lamborghini Gallardo

Hi guys,

Just got some time to post up some images of a Gallardo I was lucky enough to detail a couple weeks back. Car only had 500 miles or so on it but the dealer did a mess of the paint on prep. By the end of the day, I was in love with this Midas yellow pearl paint. Process involved wash, clay, compound (3M rubbing compound), polish (3M machine glaze), cleanser (Zymol HD Cleanse), sealant (Klasse AIO and SG), and two coats of wax (Zymol Titanium and Concours). You can really see the drastic colour changes this metal flake has in these. Beautiful car and paint. Let me know what you guys think or offer suggestions. Hope these images are sized properly.

Very aggresive headlamps:

Please note my fine M5 in the background (almost puts the Gallardo to shame;)):

You're a lucky dude to be able to detail one of those. Paint looks super wet, and has a unique color. I have never been too fond of the lighter lambo paint colors-they almost never give good reflections or gloss. You sure made it really deep and wet, though. Sweet work.

Awesome job. You picked a great choice of products as well, gives a nice wet yet reflective shine. Too bad they didnt let you drive it!

Holy *beep*!

Man, gorgeous work, gorgeous car. I, too, have never been a fan of yellow, but that yellow pearl is STUNNING!

Wow!!!!! What I would give to detail one of those! You did a fine job too.

I never noticed the very subtle "circle" theme to the wheels, until you posted that close shot of the rim. Very cool! I had always thought it was just a sweet 5 spoke design.

Car is just stunning, no other way around it. Love it!

Mike :)

Looks AMAZING, that color is deffinately something else! You're very lucky to detail one of those.

The clairty and depth pic woww

Sweet M5 too, you should post some pictures of it close up.

Keep up the good work :2thumbs:

Wow, that's almost as nice as my daughters 92 Olds Achieva! Just kidding, you deserve a beer after that!

Beautiful work!! Very nice Zymol results. I believe Concours can really do justice to this outstanding example of yours.

All the compound and polishing was done with a PC. Thanks for the kind words everyone. It is nice to see work appreciated by such detailing gurus.
