Wanted to share the results of the first detail on my wife's new car. The salesman picked it up at a neighboring dealer and was kind enough to remove the plastic film. Unfortunately, this left some light swirls and dozens (literally) of tiny pieces of film residue. Here's what I did:

Wash - Four Star ultimate shampoo

Remove plastic - 3M wax/adhesive remover w/ MF applicator

Polish swirls - Menzerna IP w/ PC & light cut pad @ 3 > 4.5

Polish/cleanse - Poorboys PP by hand w/ MF applicator

Wax - Poorboys NB by hand w/ foam applicator

Wheels - Poorboys wheel sealant (good test - these front pads leave serious dust)

Tires - light coat of Poorboys BnB w/ Adam's sponge

On to the pics...

Very nice car! I have had the 04-05's as loaners. Very well made and handling is awesome. Just wish they had a little more power, but I guess that's why they have the TL. Any plans to modify it or leaving it stock?

Thanks, folks! Honestly, my opinion of the car is that it's an awesome transportation appliance. I'm not much on the road feel, driver's seat comfort (feels like the lumbar support digs into my back even when minimized) or any of the drivetrain noises. I kinda' had my heart set on the Audi A3, but this is the Mrs.' car and she loves it. Therefore, I love it. :)

We've installed the 'wood' wheel and trim kit, along with the all-weather mats and cargo net for the trunk. I also bought a set of splash guards and will have them painted to match before slapping 'em on the car. Finally, I've been given the 'ok' to buy a set of 18's. Happy happy! The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that I haven't found a 225/45 with anything higher than a 300 treadlife rating. This thing sees a lot of miles and I'd hate to be replacing tires every eight months.

After keeping her old Yukon XL clean, this one is a breeze. I do enjoy detailing it and the color is stunning in a variety of lighting conditions.

I love the TSX and wish I owned one. It is the perfect car for my situation right now. Yours is gorgeous. Too bad you couldn't convince your wife to get the whole body kit!

...for the car, I mean.
