05 tl, z2pro

Here is our 05 white diamond pearl TL. Process on this one is interesting to say the least. Ordered the car in October, got it, and I put a coat of z1 and two coats of z2. Fast forward to this previous weekend, car was still in fantastic shape with z6 touch-ups. But the car did need to be clayed, so I clayed it with Sonus clay and z7/water lube and then followed up with a coat of z2pro. I love the pro, this is the second car I have used it on, both white though :( I have a real tough time shooting cars in general, let alone white, but I think this shows some of the reflection.

SWEET! Awesome look. I have the 2004 TL and absolutely love it. Fun car to drive! You did an excellent job on the white paint. Like your wheels too. Still looking to get a nice pair myself.

Any tints in the near future? Just curious.

Again, great job

goceltics,

I saw your post the other day, loved every minute of it :) Yes they certainly are fun cars, that's for sure. No tints in the future though, prefer regular glass. thanks for the nice comments!

Yea, it's official. I'm in love with white cars now. Everyone lately seems to be posting their pics of white cars and all look great, especially this TL.

Good job on it man. Take good care of it.

BTW, that's a lot of cars you got there....

Gawjess TL.

Looks great in every way! What kind of rims are those? drop?

thanks guys!

they are 19 inch Lowenhart LD-1's with 245/35 rubber. No drop, probably just going to do the comptech rear sway and that's it. Surprisingly doesnt even look like it needs MUCH of a drop in person, i was very surprised. Maybe the kit helps, I don' t know

The rims look 10x better in silver with a polished lip. The chrome ones are far too played.

I believe the A-Spec package comes with a mild drop, no?

Regardless, great looking TL. Any problems with it at all? Complaints? Overall feelings? I am seriously looking into one. Thanks.

I absolutely love the TL. I have a 2004 and still think to this day that it was the best decision I could have made. Every day is a joy driving. Handling is excellent, all the gadgets (bluetooth, DVD Audio, xm radio, navi, etc) are sweet, and the look is killer. I would definitely take a look at them. You won't be disappointed.

I have had no problems whatesoever. There is nothing I would change on it at all.

Thanks, we bought these ~4-5 years ago, and it took a really long time to get the diamond cut face with that lip! well worth it though.

A-spec package comes with a .75 inch spring/shock combo, which sucks IMO. We ordered just the aspec ground effects kit, as thats all we wanted from that package. the wheels are ugly IMO and so is the steering wheel thing they put on. We also got the wood matched shift knob, rubber mats and trunk tray. There really weren't a whole lot of options for the car in typical acura fashion.

If H&R comes out with coilovers then we may just go with those, otherwise leave it. It is driven daily by a 50+ year old woman :D

goceltics covered some good stuff below me, I agree with everything he said. No problems so far, and I don't really anticipate any I hope. The only problem I have found is the shop we go to for mods found that acura didn't attach our skirts that good underneath. So that needs to be fixed, but as far as the build, so far so good.
