the vette is new and was prepped well by the dealer ( big surprise) I did not feel the need to clay bar the finish was smooth so AIO and 3 layes of SG and lsp was souvrain done about 3 weeks ago today just washed it. The acura is 10 months old and was preeped horribly by the dealer I ended up having to use prefect it on it and gradualy get rid of horrible swirls( the lot boy prepped it rather then the detail guy and he must have dropped the wash rag on the ground a couple of times.) I did my usual aio and sg and souvrain and it really needs to be re aio and sg but the foam gun has kept the marring to a minimum. I ahve re waxed a few times but not for a month still beading and sheeting. The cars are garaged and washed at least weekly if not more often.

woow pro job

Is that the new Victory Red on the c6? Looks a lot darker than c5 flame red.... I am kinda biased to the old flame red

ye it is the victory red. hmm not familiar with flame red are you thinking of Torch red? That is actually a little more orange then victory red. they had a nice sl darker red called precision red which was only on the 05.

Very nice work. Deep and WET.

I love that Nighthawk Black when it's cleaned properly.

Tell me, which pads and polish/compound did you use ?

Do you feel the AIO/SG will help keep the daily swirls to a minimum?

( Hardenening up the finish? )

How many coats of AIO/SG did you apply?

I've noticed that color is a real pain to keep swirls to a minimum.

To me it seems the clear coat is very soft. ( Honda Civic SI 2004 )

I was able to wash, spot clean with SW, and apply a coat of 845 IW on my car today.

I saw a bunch of swirls in my car. Looks like it will need a clay and #80 polish this spring.

thanks.

I have not had much in the way of swirls but I attribute that to the foam gun( gilmor purchase off of ebay). aio put on by hand with the included mf appliction pad 3 layers of sg. I use lc polishing pads on the pc. I get grat longevity on Klasse I think because the cars are garaged. The acura was really trashed by the dealer when they prepped it I had to use some fine cut 3m rubbing cmpd follwed by perfect 2 then swirl and then used some ps21 paint cleaner to get the dealer prep induced swirls out. They reall blew it the salesman did not want to inconvience me when I came to get the car the detailer had not shown up so he had the lot boy prep the car, I did not notice it when I arrived as it was dark out( a lesson there) They offered to re fix the problem I declined. the tl is great it has not been back to the dealer since I got it in March 05. No rattles or any issues at all.

I love that car in Nighthawt Black. It makes the car look amazing when cleaned properly. I wanted to get the car in that color. However, I have a job that occassionally makes me work very long hours and weekends. I just couldn't stand the thought of it all swirled up and me with no time to take care of it. I love the silver I got, but it just doesn't pop like the black does when it's clean. The Corvette looks amazing too.

Now that would make a nice view in anybody's drive way. A TL and a Vette. You can't go wrong with that! Very nice work!

Very nice. Always good to see people take care of their cars.

Nice garage and driveway too. So much space to work with.
