This is a good customer of mine. He just bought this from a relative after selling his XJ8 to buy a beach house (times are rough :o ). It only has 20K on the clock but the paint was really swirled up. He uses it to "throw signs in" and drive around new construction sites. Whoever owned it last used some bad wax and left residue all over the place which had become one with the paint in the jams and on seals. That took a long time to get off/ Anyway, I started last night at 8:30pm and finished the paint at 2am (it was finally in the 60's!!). Then I got up around 7 to finish the interior and put a lost coat of wax on.

Looks good, very deep and wet. Just wondering, didn't they redesign the Grand Cherokee in 05'? The one you worked on looks like the old body style.

Very nice on that inferno red!

Nice interior job. To me, it's harder!

What was your fee for entire detail?

If you don't mind....

Thanks whitejava!!

justin: Thanks. It looked very ruby-like when i was done. I really liked the color. I typically enjoy doing interiors better than exteriors, although exteriors gives the most satisfaction the detailer and other drivers. The interiors are very personal. It's the first thing customers get all excited about since many don't understand paint. WHen doing my best interior, I always find all kinds of things the driver didn't find when they cleaned out the car for me. Then they're like "WOw! Where did you find that? I thought I lost that, etc." Most of my customers are really into the interiors, b/c that's where they spend most of the time with the car. NeWay.... The detail included my top-of-the-line exterior, my basic interior, and an engine job. I charge $275 for that on an SUV.

I think you're right. It's probably an '04.

Yes, it's an '04. They straightened out the front grill in '04. Previous models with that body style have the grill that angles with the lights.

I don't usually like red on a Jeep Grand Cherokee... but very nice!! :2thumbs:
