Hello all!!



BMW...thou hath redeemed thyself!! :cool: I don't know if I am getting old or what but the new 5 series Bimmer and the Z4 are a step backwards in the design department for BMW IMHO (I do like the 7 series). I like neither design and I think the cars they replaced are a 100 times better. Enter the 6 series....and my angst is no more!! :D I really must petition DavidB for a :drool: smiley!!



I showed up at one of my weekly regular clients and was greeted with this sweet ride. She had traded in her 2000 540i sport package on this sexy thing. 19" rims....6 speed manual....a rumbling German made V8 (the tone of this car at idle is VERY un-BMW like and more Woodward Boulevard)...I was in heaven!!



It had no wax on it and as such no dealer swirls....just some left over adhesive from the shipping tape. I look forward to the upkeep on this bad girl!! Below is the description of the detail.

Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo



Polish/Glaze with ClearKote's Vanilla Moose with a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 5.



Seal with Meg's NXT with a Meg's 8006 pad and my PC set at 4.

Beautiful car and detail as usual. Out of pure curiosity, why did you go with NXT instead of something a little more durable like #16, or EX?
 
The new 6 is my favorite car out right now. I especially love the lines of the coupe.

BTW, has anyone seen the spy pics for the M6 version? OMG!
 
That is my favorite vehicle on the road (the coupe, not the convertible). Superb handling and a lot of power. It was fun as hell just being the passenger in one with a professional driver on a short autocross track.

I remember watching a vid on the coupe. If you pop the trunk and look at it dead from the side, it looks almost identical to a 996 Porsche.

Very wet and very liquid looking paint! :xyxthumbs Out of all the "newer" Bimmers comming out, the 645ci is my Favorite for sure.

23 yrs old and I definately agree with you about the Z, 5 & 6. I make exception to the new M5 though, I really don't care what it looks like with a high reving V10 - kind of deserving of more than just a drool icon.

If you look at the side profile of one, imagine the boot (trunk ;)) lid removed, shame shape as a Porsche 911, was on TV in the uk, they did a side by side comparison with a 911 with the boot lid up, same lines and curves, just a piece of random information for ya’ll.
