How does a brand new G35 win a car show? Is it the newest car in the show trophy??

Stock car class other Nissan. It was a Z show. They take off for paint issues, scratches, defects interior or exterior, mods if not stock and so on. Any dust or dirt anywhere also.

Forgot to post this picture. Can you believe Nissan actually lets a car out of the factory like this? It's all over the car. And I am not experienced enough to let myself wetsand it. So I guess it stays.

Looks very nice! Looks just like my gf's G35X except hers doesnt have the spoiler and the interior is a different color. Does your have the nav system? I love her navigation system!!!

Here are a couple shots after I detailed her car.

It's a G convention! :D

Again, good looking cars fellas. I still can't believe some of the OP I see on Infiniti's though. I wetsanded half my car (trunk, rear bumper, hood, front bumper, front fenders) and there is still some OP. My doors/roof/rear fenders all looked ok from the factory, though. It's kind of weird because on G35_tx's car the trunk/rear bumper look op free, and that was the worst part of mine when I started.

Check it out.

Compared to the wetsanded hood.

Weird.

wooow what did u use ?

Well just a update. The hood, trunk lid, and rear bumper were all repainted. The car was a hail-damaged car so those items were replaced by Infiniti's body shop. The rest of the car has the original OP paint. I would like to wet sand it out, but very afraid too.

Ahhhh, that explains it. Looks like a quality repaint, though!

Sometimes its Optimum Polish. In this case it's Orange Peel, a term used to describe the orange peel like effect some paint has. It's almost never desirable, since it can make the paint look distorted and kind of fuzzy. Whether your car has it or not seems to be a toss up. I've seen it on everything from civics, to infinitis (obv), to M6s... :(

nice detail and congrats on the win.

you may want to see if infiniti will fix the orange peel for you. a co-worker of mine has a black 350Z (i think a 2003 or 04), and recently he noticed how bad the OP was. he went to his dealer and they fixed it for him. i don't remember all the details, but i believe it was done under warranty.
