04 WRB WRX Detailed - Overspray repaired!

Got a PM on the subaru board for a detail a few months ago from this person. He was interested in a winter detail/Protection/ and some marks left from a recent body shop incident repaired.

Customer washed car ahead of time, so no before pics (was working out a friends shop - no running water inside)

The trunk (both back and top,) front pass a pillar and drivers side headlight had mild to moderate overspray on them (weird places for overspray) from the body shop.

The roof and pass side had some nasty scratches that I was able to get out as well for him.

Clayed the trunk, with no effect on the overspray, so I gave up.

DACP, Meguairs 9007 pad on a PC

NXT

Stoners on glass

Sonus on exterior plastic

HyperDressing 3:1 on tires

Here are the worst of the overspray on the back of the trunk. Very weird in the placement, as it wasn't the entire trunk or in a particular area, but very sporatic over the entire trunk. It didn't look/feel like a bad wetsanding job upon close inspection. Camera couldn't pick up the fine details of it, sorry.

Thanks for looking, owner was extremely pleased with the outcome of it. I'm sure he'll be calling again in the spring for another detail and I'm sure he'll spread the word to his friends.

Very nice work! :)

I've seen that type of overspray on cars too, not quite sure how they manage it. :nixweiss

No problems going from DACP to NXT?

SCOTTWAX- They get that type of overspray when the plastic sheeting the shops use to cover the car when they paint is not secure. Spray from the guy blows under the plastic sheet and gets trapped leaving those cloudy-like overspray designs.

no, i've been doing the DACP --> NXT combo for a good 1.5 years if not more without any issues. It's my "go to combo"
