'04 Redfire Cobra (big pics)

Here is my 04 Cobra. These pics were taken on a cloudy day, so not a lot of shine going on.

Due to the fact that I've never let the paint get scratched, all products have been applied by hand.

The hood was just done in these pics, rest of the car were not, though it has all been gone over with the same products.

It was supposed to rain the next day, so I didn't get to the tires/wheelwells.

Pics were taken with a Kodak 3mp camera

Meg's Deep Crystal cleaner(1), glaze(2), #26.

Refire Metallic is such a slick color when clean. Looks good.

It really is a heavy metallic, but unless the sun is blazing, I can never get it on camera.

Yes it is, they're static clings and I rarely have them on.

From the part of the pics I can see, it looks very good. You might want to hit up those wheel wells though, even if rain is in the near future. In my opinion, dirty wheel wells can ruin a detail, especially since Mustangs are known for their 4x4 look. Everything else looks great though!

I agree, I normally do, just time limited when the pics were taken.

It is for sure. Its not that bad in person, its actually quite low for a production car and compared to other Cobra's.

That Meg's DC step 2 is such a nice OTC product, and is often overlooked. IMO it provides a nice finish at a easy on the wallet pocketbook. #26 on red is hard to beat. The one thing I've found is that when using that combo on a mettalic paint you sacrifice some of the flake; it doesn't disappear completely, but it is noticeably muted. Was yuur experience similar?

I made the pics big, because I'm a bum and I didn't feel like resizing. Remote hosting from a direct uplink is easier.

I feel like 26 doesn't really mute the flakes with the sun out. Anything other than that, I would say that it does a bit. Pinnacle Signature really brings them out, but Souveran looks a touch better, so I'm now swapping between the two when the mood strikes.

I've never gotten the flakes to show on camera. In person, they're always there basically. Unless I take a direct side shot picture, they just don't show with my el-cheapo camera.
