These are pics of my dad's '04 maxima se with peanut butter leather and navi. Boy is it fast! Anyway it hasn't has a proper detail for winter yet (usually it get's stored but his winter vehicle is a gas guzling expedition) so i decided to give it some polish, cleaner, and then sealant. My process was as follows:

1. Prewash with pb bug squash

2. Wash with pb super slick and suds 3:1

3. Polish with pb ssr 2 by pc apply at 3 work in at 5 w/ lc orange pad

4. Clean with KAIO by pc with a lc blue pad (spritzed with water to help aply)

5. Seal with KSG by pc with lc black pad also spritzed w/ spr. water to help

6. Used Mothers quick detailer to get the annoying left over klasse streaks. my poorboy's s&g wasn't in yet!

Am i the only one that klasse streaks for (ha ha ha). Sorry for the pic size and quality (i tried to resize good job huh, the pics were taken inside early in the morning before my dad snuck off to work)

Looks nice! Take full car pics if you can :).

BTW is your dad in background of the last pic? You can see him smiling at the work haha.

Here is a semi full car picture and another that i had. My dad was in a rush to leave for work and i finished late the night before so i couldn't get the pictures that i wanted. The one with me working on it is after polish during the KAIO step.

Dad was definetly happy with the results. He made the comment, "I didn't think you could bring back the paint to make it look brand new", he is now begining to realize why my brother and i go through what we do to make the car look good. He said it almost looked better than when he got it. I even have him using a dipping bucket when he washes, a big step for a notoriously careless washer.

I love bug sqush, its great on tar and burnt rubber, but pretty expensive, is their anything esle comparable for a cheaper price.

glad to here that. when you have a passion to make something look nice, it makes you alot prouder to own it, imo. who doesn't like driving a nice shiny car, eh? :lol

In my mind your car should be nothing but shiny! On the prewash subject, i will sometime use a car wash soap that i have extra of laying around like meguiars deep crystal car wash or gold class ( i primarily use super slick n suds). I will dilute it about 3:1 soap to water, in a spray bottle, and use that as a pre wash. It has worked really well for me in these harsh winter months. That should be a much more cost effective option.

Ya Ya Ya, i said sorry for the picture quality

If you resize them smaller, it will probably sharpen them up some.

The smaller pics turned out very good, the paint looks really clear and wet!

I agree. The pics would look sharper in a smaller size, like 800x600. That's the size I use for my pics, because they fill the screen nicely, without requiring any scrolling to see the rest of the pic. Plus it cuts down the file size of the pics considerably.

Gotta think about our friends with dial-up too. :)

Sorry bro, i honestly thought that i resized them but apparently i was unsuccessful. I am an avid forum visitor so I should know better but hey, it is what it is. Also, i thought that photobucket did that on it's own but i guess that didn't happen.

Go to http://www.xat.com and download the free Image Optimizer program there. You can resize pics all you want, compress them, and reduce/increase the image quality.

I only recently switched from dial-up, and the download time for huge pics like that is very frustrating. I used to make dinner, wash the dishes, or take a shower while one or two threads loaded on my computer.

Alright, i can understand your frustration then. I was using the microsoft photo viewing program to resize my pics but i was never really sure what size to use. I wil take your advice and download that program as well as taking into account your size suggestions.
