04' GMC Sierra, I really dislike trucks. Lots of cool pics.

Finally got around to doing a job for a fellow autopia member. I was contacted about a month ago and today was the big day. This thing was huge. Pretty beat up and I underestimated this thing. But a big big thanks to Bandits007 who was major help to me. Shined the chrome up real nice. :bigups

10-11 hours later, and we have a pretty good turnaround. Hope you all enjoy this, cause I did and i didn't, if you know how tough a job trucks can be.

I can't believe i forgot to take pictures of the engine. I always seem to forget something.

Process was...

Wash with Gilmour and Megs

Carbrite Purple Clay

Dry with Waffle Weaves

Hyper compound then switched to Automagic XP Compound x2or3 @15-1700

It just seemed to cut better. I like it now.

HT Smooth Cut w/ White LC CCS @12-1500

Pizazz Caranauba

Tires, Wheel Wells, and Engine: APC diluted, and tire shine.

Black plastic trim were dressed.

Befores and Afters.

Excellent correction you did on the GMC! Very nice flake shot and bet the bed cover was a beast to work on. :buffing:

Nice work. I like the really clean wheel wells.

Trucks take some time to get used to, but when you consider that you do less bending over, your lower back probably prefers them to cars!

Thanks for all the comments you guys. This truck was a pleasure to work on, but it was a beast. And yes, truzoom you are definitely right about the bending over.

Also, another thing that I'd like to ask. Can inhaling the product that dust cause nasal problems? Such as phlegm and soreness in the throat?

No problem. Call me "Chrome King" from now on. Afters look great. I also agree with the guy up there on the wheel wells, CLEAN!!!!

BTW, I bet that truck felt lonely surrounded with imports during the day.

Chrome King, the exhaust tips looked great too. And the funny thing about it, this chrome polish can also be used the windows and glass.

Very great work...That truck size ....I would of passed because for sure it would of killed my back!!!! Great job bud ...it looks wet and reflective!

GREAT JOB!!! Wow, that is a nice turnaround for shore!

Is that a CBR600RR in the background. Its really hard to tell in because of the angle of the picture...

I have experienced an occasional sore throat after doing extensive detailing. Just drink plenty of water and try to flush it out of your system.

Thank you guys for the kind words.

TH0001- You are correct sir. That is a RR. Still prefer the R6 or Gixxer though.

Truzoom- Its too late. Somehow i caught the flu or cold. So now I'm trying to fight it off.

Carbon Metallic is the most beautiful paint that GM has produced. With the right products the metal flake will pop more than anything I've seen.

I miss mine, but not the work to keep it up. I made myself sick ensuring it was swirl/micromarring free.

I replaced it with a white Hd
