This is my other Uncle's car. It has about 30K and has only been washed via swirl-O-matics (lives in LA). I gave him about $40 worth of car care supplies to use to keep it up after I was done (hope he uses it). It has a Eibach Sport kit, wheels and some other things on the way. The paint on this was very, very hard. Once again supplies were limited, only had 1 WW and 3 terry weave MFs left. Man am I tired! Between this and playing with my little cousin constantly (darn kid has unlimited amounts of energy lol), gotta love family though.

Process:

Washed with NXT

Polished with OCP and orange pad on spd 6

Sealed with CGs Extreme Top Coat Sealant (hides quite a bit of swirls)

It didn't come out 100% but pretty good, most of the swirls were hidden by the sealant than anything else. I gave up on deep polishing because the OCP and orange pad working really really slow and using at least 20lbs of pressure did almost nothing to the swirls. Thats why I say the paint was very hard. I wish I knew that so I could have brought OCC instead. It took out enought to be able to see the slight metalic flake in the finish.

I took some cooler pics but I shook a little. (didn't have room for a tripod and was in a hurry before the sun went down).

Even if you didn't get the car back to perfect, it still looks damn good. The reflections that your getting off the paint with that CG sealant is amazing. Great work, I bet your uncle is really happy :D Did you make sure to tell him NOT to use beat your car to swirl death washes and to use touchless ones?

Haha, ya, and I gave him about $50 worth of car care supplies to take care of it.

Still looks like it turned out pretty good. :)

Optimum's Hyper Compound probably would have been more successful but it would have added a polishing step. Tough when your resources are limited, eh?

Thanks, ya, wish my parents still had the Suburban, so I could have brought everything. :D
