03 Mustang Cobra Correction

PAR Detailing

This client was a referral from another client of mine. The client wanted the exterior brought back to life and made as perfect as possible.

The paint wasn’t in horrible condition but it needed a little TLC to make the paint sparkle.

A little tip I picked up from others more experienced from me. Prop the trunk open so you can work on it easier.

The one 50/50 I have. This is only after the compounding, the haze clears up after the second step.

When the license plate is flush with the paint it can scratch. I noticed that there was an outline around the license plate of scratches so I wanted to take a measure to fix this problem for the future. I took foam dots that have adhesive on one side and stuck them on the back before I placed the plate back on.

A lint roller works great on the fabric top to remove any fuzz

Very nice work, Jon! Nice touch with the foam dots; though I would probably have adhered them to the license plate and not the car.

blk5.0, you'll be pleased to know I will have an Extreme Makeover thread coming by the end of the week on a Tungsten Grey 2006 GT. It's been in my shop for almost a full week now and I can just barely see the light at the end of the tunnel as of tonight. The interior's back together and finally clean, now I have some painting to do before moving on to full decontamination and correction.

Very nice work

Thanks Garry

man i love it keep theses mustangs coming i cant get enough of them.

Thank you

Thanks buddy. And I did stick them to the back of the license plate. I goofed when putting the writeup together and put the same pic twice. The plate looked like this

Thank you

Another pretty Terminator brought back to new! After having worked on one last month I feel pics can't really do it justice: it has a real presence in person.

Thanks Marc! I agree pics just dont do the car justice. I feel like I spent as much time messing with the camera as I did polishing... and I still dont feel I captured what it really looked like.

Great work Jon! :bigups

Thanks Chad!
