I have used a couple of different QD's on Zaino, but always kinda felt a little uneasy doing so. Call me paranoid.
I always go back to Z6. Then I sleep at night. No kidding.

hey Cowboy....i couldnt find the thread where you talked about diluting the Z6....i think you said 50/50....for the QD'ing......r/t the $$$

I did mention that one could get by with using less Z7 than was printed on the bottle (that's the car wash!)

I should make myself perfectly clear. I don't recommend ever ever ever diluting Z6. I personally have never tried it. So how would I know. I have used Z7 a bit diluted but still manage to use a ton of it anyway.
Sometimes my glib comments get misinterpreted. Apparently I should render myself in a less opaque manner!
It's tough to admit, but you should use the Zaino stuff like the instructions tell you to. Because you are rubbing them on like a bazillion dollar vehicle and they cost about 6 rubles in comparison.

There are some people out there who actually do dilute Z6 50/50 with distilled water. You are right, Zaino does not recommend it, but there are lots of things that people do that aren't recommended.
If I use Z6 diluted its only after a wash. I use full strength Z6 in between coats of Z2. Works great for me.

with no problem. Granted the FI doesn't leave the paint as 'slick' as the Z6, but it gets the job done and leaves a great shine behind. I certainly wouldn't let a gallon of FI go to waste because you have Z on the car. I would use it for QDing and simple maintenance. I am still using Z6 in between coats though to promote the bonding of the Z2/Z5.

Just today I QD my truck that has 4 coats of z-5 and 2 coats of z-2 on it. I used Z-6 on the drivers side and FI on the passenger side of the vehicle. FI works very well. It is nearly as slick as z-6 and certainly shines just as well. It is supposed to rain here in PA tonight so I'll check out the beading in the morning and post my results.

Just an update. It rained on my truck last night. There was no noticeable difference between the side I used FI it on and the side I used Z-6 on. The water beads were exactly the same size and pattern. I used a seperate MF towel to apply each to the surface. The FI seemed to be more lubricating than the z6 but the z6 was slightly more slick afterwards. When I drove the vehicle this morning the water ran off the hood at the same rate on both sides.

I also noticed that Z-6 doesn't have as much lubricative properties as some of the other QD's. After I spray it on, it just seems to dissolve into the paint after wiping just a few times. I'd feel really uncomfortable using it as a daily QD. However, its antistatic properties are great and doesn't streak at all. It works best before and after coats.

This car only has about 2400 miles on it but from sitting and the use of a car cover has scratched it and the paint had a hazes to it. The pics really do not show the haze and the outside pics are not as nice as I would like since the sun has not been around here lately. I performed a 3 step polish on it to bring it back to life.
As the title states this car has over a 1000 hp, and another engine is being bulit so it has a "reliable" 1200 hp at the wheels. A few members have been asking about this car so I figured I would post it.

These are the afters, just wish there was more sun because this silver really popped after the polishing.
