i had polished out about half this car in late December with OD light polish on a white 6.5" LCC pad via pc

this was just a simple wash/wax

TWP soap

dried with OD MF

NXT paste

tires dressed with Meg's HD 2:1 after pictures

never dull on tips

SG APC on front wheels 3:1

the car had only been washed once since december, so most of the 3 hours was spent vacuuming, shampooing interior, scrubbing matts, and washing. everything on this car was caked, brake dust, carbon on tips, dirt. the car has had no LSP since December :shocked

it's my buddies car so no charge

car is making 400 to the wheels on 93 with a v2sq

Looking real good. Nice job.

Can't tell what's been repainted from those pics, too far away. I bet I could tell if I inspected it in person though?

.....did the paint not match well or something?

tell you the truth, the paint matched perfectly. i have the same color car and i couldn't even tell. i didn't know it had been wrecked for about 4 months until he told me. it's really one of the only matching paint jobs i've seen in my entire life! thats coming from me, though. i bet if you or some of the other guys on here that really know their stuff looked it at, you guys could probably tell.

im open to criticism and/or compliments, i know these aren't the best pictures, but eh.

btw, thanks for the compliment josh

oh, and the left front fender and left door were the pieces that were resprayed, IIRC

So is that your GT in the other drive way?

You know if you start detailing full time the GT probably won't cut it for halling around equipment.....:LOLOL

pic 1 doesn't show any of the resprayed panels

josh, so far the stang has been okay for lugging my stuff around, but i haven't taken a LGCM or vacuum with me....yet :nervous:

having that car as a DD and keeping up to autopian par has gotten my so many clients "omg your paint is soooo soft" *ahem "would you like your paint to be equally as soft" :bigups

anyone else have any opinions? i wish i would have gotten more pictures, just got kinda carried away. catching up with my friend and just overall had a lot of work to do in the amount of time...heh

Great work. I really like that redfire metallic. That color looks so great when it's polished and sealed right....yet, it looks so "eh...OK" when you see it an uncared for stang on the street. I dont know if that makes any sense, but I really dig that color. I guess it's kinda like my white focus. I parked net to another focus the same color and it looked like a totally different color.

I really like the widened rear wheels. The bullet style wheels are awesome on that color with the gray faces. I bet that car is a blast at 400rwhp. How's it do in the quarter?

^^yep, i've never seen two redfire met. paint jobs that looked exactly alike

the car is a blast to drive, but i've only driven it post-blower a couple of times :(

hasn't been tracked yet, but it pulled a camaro that traps 116

eh

400 whp may be the magic number. On the B bodies like mine, it seems 400 is like where you want to be. More is nice for a drag car, but for a car that you want to drive and have fun with on the street...400 is about the limit for useable (streetable) power without having to worry about breaking stuff all the time. I get a kick out of some people who have a zillion horsepower at the tires, but cant keep the car going straight long enough to feel the pull. Great car man. Definitely a sleeper too.
